What is Wordle?

When you enter a five-letter row, the tiles highlight in yellow, green, and grey. Green means the placement is correct, yellow means the spot is wrong, and once a tile lights up grey, you can rule that letter out of all later guesses.
Created by Josh Wardle as a gift for his wife, he later published it in October 2021 for the public. After the launch, the game drew in millions of players. Then, back in 2022, the NYT took ownership of Wordle.

The Ground Rules
Find an answer to a five-letter Wordle in only six tries.
No random letter string; enter a valid dictionary word.
Use the squares’ feedback and design your next move accordingly.
Once you finish the puzzle, you will get a new one after midnight.
The browser keeps your win streak, number of games played, and percentage, so it’s better to sign in. Once you clear the browser’s cache, you will have nothing useful to work with.
Interpret Colors and Get Closer to Winning
The greens give you an anchor. Now it’s locked in, so don’t move its position, even in following guesses.
Connected to the puzzle but in the wrong seat. For example, if S is yellow in the second position, place it in square one, three, or five.
Tip: Players who leave yellow letters in the same spot often fall short of guesses. That’s the payoff, so move the yellow letter to tighten the field.
The letter is out of competition. You can leave it to switch things up. Repeated letters have a quirk, so if your letter has two of the same letters but the answer has one, the game turns one tile color.

SLATE: The strategy hit a wall when all letters turned grey. No worries, since it still provided a lot more information, you can just drop out five letters straight.
GRIND: When you make the next row with GRIND, the R and I turn yellow, leaving the rest grey. Now you have two confirmed letters, plus a chance to abandon three more from the list.
PRICK: Once you enter the third guess, the letters P, R, I, and C turn yellow, giving you another grey. With four confirmed letters, you can shuffle or rearrange them with a better strategy, then make a final guess for the last letter.
CRIMP: At this point, the diagnostic shuffling will help to turn tiles green. (SOLVED).
As you may have noticed, every row is built on purpose. The letters keep being eliminated with each guess you make. Finally, you solved it in four attempts.

Utilize Greys
Do the grey tiles feel like dead weight? If you had two guesses earlier and all turned grey, don’t let this go to waste. Keep a record of grey letters and cross them off from the list of possible guesses.
Move Yellow Seats
If you want to keep your win streak going for a long time, then never underestimate the yellow tiles by leaving them in the same position. Beginners often brush aside the yellows. When you allocate a new seat to these tiles, you can get closer to plausible answers.
Hunt for New Letters
Grey tiles clearly indicate which letters to cross off. Instead of burning guesses through recycling greys, pick a new word with different letters.
Word Pattern
Finding the common word pattern is the best approach. There are several words that include endings -IGHT, -OUND, -ATCH, -ANCE. Using words from this family helps you jump onto shortlisted members, rather than creating a structure from scratch.
No Timer
You can take your time, since there is no fixed time to solve the puzzle. Compare letters, arrange them, and construct a word wisely.
